I am using Spotify in the browser. For a long time Spotify did not have a proper webapp; now it is ok but still with limited functionality. Fully funcional webapps (without the scandalous Apple fees) seem to me an obvious way to break the app stores


Why is this not happening? Maybe because many companies, including Spotify (despite the subscription models) also want to track everything we do. Spotify's app is filled with trackers and asks broad permissions.

@djoerd Yeah, 'm switching from spotify to either Apple music (the Android app is actually decent) or deezer since spirits decided to sell ad spots on their auto generated Playlists was a good idea
