@djoerd Good article, but I find it's position is not explicit enough. If you call SciHub a pirate site, you must absolutely state that researchers writing, refereeing, and editing volumes are paid 0 (zero) money from those fees the so-called publishers charge for reading those works. And we only get absurd 1-month free access to publications after accepting to review or publishing a paper.

I've told this story to nonacademics and I always get the same reaction: astonishment at how such a system could ever work.
